Covid-19 Considerations

In response to COVID-19 as mandated by the State of Wisconsin, our restaurants and bars—The Statehouse, Augie’s Tavern, The Boathouse and The Market—are open in a limited capacity.

Effective July 13: per Public Health Dane County Emergency Order #8, people five years of age and older are required to wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth indoors when in public unless seated at a table. If you are in need of a temporary mask, please inquire at our Host Stand.

Dine & Unwind at Madison’s Place

If you’re looking for a signature Madison dining experience, look no further than The Statehouse. Our creative culinary team offers Modern Midwestern cuisine—recognizable, approachable favorites using unique ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. We are ingredient-driven and market-inspired, taking the best of the season, the state and the region to create authentic dishes our guests ask for by name.

Augie’s Tavern at The Statehouse is open for drinks and food service Monday – Friday 4 pm – 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am – 10 pm.  Tables are spaced six feet apart and the bar seating is adhering to county mandated protocols–all guests must be seated at all times. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.  

The Statehouse offers food and beverage through StatehouseMadison.com for curbside delivery or to-go pick up. Orders can be placed Monday-Friday from 4pm – 9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am-9pm. The Statehouse Terrace is open for ‘dine in’ seating and service, weather permitting on a first come first served basis.  There is limited indoor seating in The Statehouse bar area. Beginning April 1, The Statehouse dining room will be open for seating.

The Boathouse Bar & Grill will be opening May 1. No reservations will be available for the month of May. First come, first served only due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions and social distancing guidelines from Dane County Public Health. Online/to-go ordering will be available May 26th.

We will offer IN-ROOM DINING nightly from 4-9pm and brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 7am-2pm with a curated menu featuring favorite entrees from all of our restaurants. The menu can be found in your guest room or click here to view.  

THE MARKET is open daily for to-go coffee, breakfast items including hot breakfast sandwiches (served until 11am), oatmeal, bagels and muffins, and other grab-and-go snacks including cheese, beer and wine. Lunch sandwiches are available from 12pm-2pm on weekdays. View menu here.

EXECUTIVE CHEF JUAN MARTINEZ

Crafting modern Midwestern cuisine at Madison’s Place, Chef Juan Martinez is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He oversees all culinary operations at Madison’s Edgewater Hotel, including four restaurants – The Statehouse, Augie’s Tavern, The Icehouse and The Boathouse – as well as banquets and special events. As executive chef, he brings his unparalleled expertise to every outlet at the hotel.
