Covid-19 Considerations

In response to COVID-19, our restaurants and bars—The Statehouse, Augie’s Tavern and The Market—are open in a limited capacity. The Boathouse is closed for the season.

Per Public Health Madison Dane County’s “Face Covering Emergency Order” effective August 19, 2021,  face coverings must be worn at all times by our employees and guests while indoors and not actively eating or drinking. If you are in need of a temporary mask, please inquire at our Host Stand.

If you’re looking for a signature Madison dining experience, look no further than The Statehouse. Our creative culinary team offers Modern Midwestern cuisine—recognizable, approachable favorites using unique ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. We are ingredient-driven and market-inspired, taking the best of the season, the state and the region to create authentic dishes our guests ask for by name.

AUGIE’S TAVERN at The Statehouse is open for drinks and food service Monday – Friday 4 pm – 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am – 10 pm. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.  

THE BOATHOUSE BAR & GRILL is closed for the season starting September 7.

THE STATEHOUSE offers food and beverage through for curbside delivery or to-go pick up. Orders can be placed Monday-Friday from 4pm – 9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am-9pm. There is limited indoor seating.

THE MARKET is open daily for to-go coffee, breakfast items including hot breakfast sandwiches (served until 11am), oatmeal, bagels and muffins, and other grab-and-go snacks including cheese, beer and wine. Lunch sandwiches are available from 11am-2pm on weekdays. View menu HERE.

Crafting modern Midwestern cuisine at Madison’s Place, Chef Juan Martinez is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He oversees all culinary operations at Madison’s Edgewater Hotel, including four restaurants – The Statehouse, Augie’s Tavern, The Icehouse and The Boathouse – as well as banquets and special events. As executive chef, he brings his unparalleled expertise to every outlet at the hotel.
