Our creative culinary team offers Modern Midwestern cuisine—recognizable, approachable favorites using unique ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. We are ingredient-driven and market-inspired, taking the best of the season, the state and the region to create authentic dishes our guests ask for by name.
Augie’s Tavern at The Statehouse is open for drinks and food service Monday – Friday 4 pm – 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am – 9 pm. Tables are spaced six feet apart and the bar seating is adhering to county mandated protocols–all guests must be seated at all times. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
The Statehouse offers food and beverage through StatehouseMadison.com for curbside delivery or to-go pick up. Orders can be placed Monday-Friday from 4pm – 9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am-9pm. The Statehouse Terrace is open for ‘dine in’ seating and service, weather permitting on a first come first served basis. The Statehouse dining room remains temporarily closed.
The Boathouse Bar & Grill is currently closed for the Winter season.
We will offer In-Room Dining for dinner from 4-9pm with a curated menu featuring favorite entrees from all of our restaurants. The menu can be found in your guest room or call 608.535.8234. Please note, these orders will also be packaged in single-use containers.

Crafting modern Midwestern cuisine at Madison’s Place, Chef Juan Martinez is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He oversees all culinary operations at Madison’s Edgewater Hotel, including four restaurants – The Statehouse, Augie’s Tavern, The Icehouse and The Boathouse – as well as banquets and special events.
